Kokum (Garcinia indica choisy) is an important member of the family Clusiaceae and found in tropical rain forests of Western coast region of India. Kokum has the souring qualities as Tamarind and finds its use in culinary, pharmaceuticals, Naturaceuticals and industrial uses. Fresh fruits are used to make syrups. The therapeutic properties of the fruit have been described in traditional medicine Ayurveda to relieve sunstroke, very good appetizer and works against tumors, diabetes and heart diseases. It is also known to contain Hydroxyl Citric Acid (HCA), a potential anti-obesity agent which also fights against Cholesterol. Majority of the yield is used for syrup and juice preparation during summer months.
Product Description:

Kokam concentrate is the aqueous extract from fruits available in Kokan Region. The fruits are cleaned thoroughly, soaked and processed in our state of the art plant where the cold extraction process is carried out on totally automatic plant without human intervention. Maintaining strict hygienic conditions, the extract is in its absolute pure form without any salt, sugar or any preservatives thus keeping flavor, color and taste intact.
